The Last Squadron raises the bar in Atari vertical shooters. Four levels of action (Eight in the extended version) with weapons power-ups and end of level bosses. The game recognises PAL/NTSC and adjusts its speed, colours and music. There are two types of shots, the special shot if fired by pressing the fire button several times (autofire is on by default) or by using a second fire button if you have one (supports modified Megadrive controllers and Joy2B+ compatible controllers). ABBUC version
Press Shift + C on the title page, now on each new level pressing START gives us immortality. We can turn it off during the game with the OPTION button.
Extended Edition
- entering "sikorsoft" on the title page gives us 20 lives at the beginning of the game (the maximum indicator shows 9)
- additionally, pressing "START" gives us immortality on a given level (must be repeated on each new level)
- "SELECT" button causes the immediate pass of the given level
